I express my work as a teacher, author, researcher and advisor. I fundamentally believe that relationships are the key building block of organizational performance and that all people, given the opportunity, would rather be working in an organization that supports positive and direct relationships. My work aims to support individuals, teams and organizations to develop those relationships. As a teacher, I am Associate Faculty of Ashridge Business School, a Consultant to the Fowler Center for Sustainable Value and on the faculty of the Gestalt Center for Organization and Systems Development. Previously I worked on leadership programs at IMD. As an author, I co-authored the book “Care to Dare: Unleashing the Astonishing Power of Secure Base Leadership” with George Kohlrieser and Susan Goldsworthy. As a researcher, I publish in academic journals in the broad domain of Organizational Behavior. Research topics include Love in Organizations, Leadership, Sustainability and Corporate Citizenship. As an advisor I work as an external consultant to numerous for-profit and non-profit organizations. My advisory work to senior executives includes topics of leadership development, organization development and change management. I have a PhD in Organizational Behavior from The Weatherhead School of Management, an MBA from IMD, an LLB and a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Psychology and Economics. Currently I am a student on a two year program at the One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in London. In addition, I have obtained the Investment Management Certificate, trained as a Lifeline crisis counselor and serve on the Board of the Starfish Foundation (USA). I have lived and worked in the US, Switzerland, the UK and South Africa. Finally, and of most importance to me, I am married to an amazing person, my wife Linda.
